Bayelsa guber: anxiety grips APC as Sunny-Goli, Daumiebi set to make announcement

Yenagoa—A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State and the immediate past member of the House of Representatives in Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli has stated that he will be making a major decision this coming week.

Sunny-Goli who made this known in a post on his official Facebook page notified his supporters and followers that his decision is in connection with the upcoming November 11 governorship election in the state.

“I shall use the opportunity to inform my supporters and followers where we stand and the direction we are taking,” he said.

Similarly, another chieftain of the APC in the state, Barr. Festus Daumiebi has also announced that his stand regarding the upcoming guber election in the state will be made known after due “consultation with my political family across the state.”

The former APC governorship aspirant noted that “those who fail to learn from history are doomed for destruction.”

According to Daumiebi, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the Facebook publications of the two party leaders have started causing apprehension among members and stakeholders in the party, as some speculate that they are on the verge of defecting to another party.
