American varsity appoints ex-Bayelsa commissioner as Professor

California—The American Trinity University, California, has appointed the President of Garden City Premier Business School, Silva Opuala-Charles, as a Professor of Economics and Management, Mangrovepen.ng has gathered.

The appointment of Opuala-Charles who hails from Opu-Nembe in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State was contained in a letter signed by the university’s President, Brian Caroll.

The letter also stated that Opuala-Charles will serve as a full-time professor at the University.

Opuala-Charles holds a Doctorate in Economics, specializing in Monetary Economics, and also a Master’s degree with a specialty in Money and Banking.

He holds a Global Executive MBA degree from the three affiliate universities of the London School of Economics and Political Science, London; New York University, Stern Business School, New York and HEC Business School, Paris.

He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School, Lagos; IMD Business School, Lausanne, Switzerland; London School of Economics and Political Science, London; New York University, New York and HEC Business School, Paris.

He served as commissioner of Finance under the Chief Timipre Sylva-led Bayelsa State government from 2007-2012.
