Brass—A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Hon. Robert Desmond has restated his support for Chief Timipre Sylva, governorship candidate of the APC in the forthcoming November 11 gubernatorial poll.
In a chat with newsmen on Wednesday, Desmond revealed that his support for Sylva is based on his belief that Sylva is the most qualified and capable candidate to lead the state, “owing to his track records of success and dedication toward the development of the state.”
He stated that his support is also premised on the fact that Sylva takes the welfare, growth and advancement of the people of the state as his top priority.
Desmond who is also the leader of the New Face of Brass, averred that the health initiatives of Sylva when he held sway as governor did not only improve the physical well-being of the people but also their mental and socio-economic state.
“Sylva’s policies during his time as governor led to the significant improvement of our state’s security, education, infrastructure, economy and environment and even the creative sector.
“He left no stone unturned when it comes to the development of our state.
“He used the resources accruing to the state for the people. And I believe that if we give him the chance again to govern us, he will take this state to greater heights.
“It is also my belief that if we give him our votes on November 11, 2023, Sylva will bring us out of this dire situation we find ourselves under the present administration,” he stated
