Surveillance contract: lawyer urges ex-agitators to aim higher

Abuja—A popular Nigerian lawyer and social commentator, Malcolm Omirhobo has called out ex-militant leaders particularly HRM Ateki Tom, Government Tompolo and Asari Dokubo over their alleged quest to guide oil facilities in the creeks of the Niger Delta.

He opined that it is not an honourable thing for the ex-agitators to be jostling for contracts to guide oil pipelines when they can come together to own a refinery like Aliko Dangote.

The lawyer who stated this while speaking in pidgin English in a video shared on his Facebook page on Friday urged the ex-agitators to aim higher.

According to him, “This is a message to my Niger Delta brothers in the creeks, particularly I want to call out Ateki Tom, Government Tompolo and Asari Dokubo to say it is not honourable to be guiding petroleum pipelines in the creek.

“My brothers, una no too small to carry refinery, make una think am na, wetin.

“Una no too small to get oil refineries. Even if na modular. Wetin Dangote do, una fit do. If una no get money, make una come together, get company. Get people together, own shares, own refineries.”

Omirhobo who is also a human rights activist also called out Asari Dokubo over his recent visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Villa, alleging that the former militant leader went to beg for contracts.

He added, “How can u be guiding pipeline, how long? How u go tell your children say u dey guide pipe all through? While other people dey chop the money.

“I know say Asari Dokubo you don go Aso Rock now dey go beg, so that dem go give you your own share of the pipeline money. My broda I know say u no talk anything there, na gra gra u go do.

“But make I advise u, Asari, u no too small to get oil refinery. Use your brain.”
