Yenagoa—The Special Assistant to Governor Douye Diri on New Media, Mr. John Domkpee, has described the governor’s resolve to complete the three senatorial roads in the state as a progressive move in the interest of Bayelsans.
Domkpee who made this known on Thursday during a media tour of ongoing projects by the state government noted that “Diri is writing his name in gold for driving such massive infrastructural development to the coastal communities of Bayelsa West, East and Central Senatorial district of the state.”
According to him, the governor deserves a second term for showing so much commitment through his timely release of funds and unscheduled inspection of project sites.
He lauded the governor for the completion of the 3rd phase of the Sagbama/Ekeremor road, which according to him “has reached Ekeremor main town, awaiting commissioning and subsequent approval for the continuation of the last phase to Agge community.”
Domkpee also commended the governor for the level of work done at the ongoing Yenagoa/Oporoma road as well as the Nembe-Brass road which is at the sand dredging stage.
While highlighting other road projects embarked upon by the government, he called on all Bayelsans irrespective of political affiliation to support the Diri’s developmental drive “that has brought about peace and security in the state.”
He opined that “Governor Diri understands the plight of the people and possesses rare leadership qualities needed to diligently steer the ship of Bayelsa to prosperity. This is why he is loved across the board.”
