Abuja—Member-elect of the House of Representatives for Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency, Hon. Marie Ebikake yesterday assured Nigerians that the senators-elect and members-elect will not disappoint in their mandate.
Ebikake gave the assurance while delivering a vote of thanks on behalf of the senators-elect and members-elect at the closing dinner ceremony of the Induction Workshop Batch B of the 10th National Assembly held in Abuja.
She stated that the 10th National Assembly is unique, adding that the diversity of political parties in its composition will only produce positive results to the satisfaction of the masses.
In her words, “Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, the resource persons for this induction workshop were second to none.
“As old as we are, we started learning again, and we assimilated. In summary, we came, we saw, and we conquered.
“I want to assure you that my colleagues in the House of Representatives and Senate will not disappoint you.
“This 10th assembly is unique in the sense that we are made up of so many opposition parties. This will make us come out good so that our electorates will not be disappointed in us,” she said.
The former Chairman of Brass Local Government Council also thanked the organizers of the workshop, particularly the Clerk of the National Assembly for his efforts in ensuring that the programme was seamless.
“Mr. Clerk of the National Assembly, I personally cherish you. The strength and energy you put into this programme were awesome.
“Back to our guests that honoured us today: thank you so much.
“As we leave for our respective homes, God will grant us journey mercies so that by June 13th, we will be Distinguished Senators and Honourable members of the Green and Red Chambers respectively,” Ebikake expressed.
