Ogbuku felicitates Christians, harps on peace, stability, development in N’Delta

Port Harcourt—Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Samuel Ogbuku has felicitated Nigerian Christians especially those from the oil-rich Niger Delta region as they commemorate this year’s Easter, which symbolizes the triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Ogbuku in a message on Sunday urged Christians to emulate the peaceful and sacrificial lifestyle of Christ who had all powers, yet humbled himself to serve, save and redeem mankind from eternal condemnation.

While he also called for a peaceful and harmonious co-existence among the various ethnic groups and tribes in the Niger Delta, Ogbuku acknowledged and lauded the fact that Niger Delta is presently the most peaceful region in the country.

The NDDC boss further reassured the people of the region of the strong determination of the present Board to prioritize human capital development, women and youth empowerment, and overall infrastructural development.

He however solicited for the consolidation and deepening of the existing synergy between the Board and people of the region.
