Yenagoa—A prominent traditional ruler and businessman from Bayelsa State, HRH Samuel Sambo has expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
“I commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting relatively peaceful and credible elections across the country,” said Sambo during a media parley in Yenagoa on Monday.
The paramount ruler of Sambo-Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom also congratulated the winner of the keenly-contested 2023 presidential election, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his electoral victory.
According to him, “The president-elect is an experienced patriot and strategic politician with the capacity to salvage Nigeria from the shackles of poverty, insecurity and tribalism.”
He stated that Tinubu’s emergence is well-deserved owing to his level of preparedness to man Nigeria’s top job, as well as his detribalized disposition.
The royal father also congratulated the Bayelsa East Senator-elect, Chief Benson Agadaga, Brass-Nembe House of Representatives Member-elect, Mrs. Marie Ebikake and the recently reelected Member representing Brass Constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Dr. Daniel Charles on their electoral victories.
“I have no doubt in my mind that the trio and other elected representatives will voice our collective yearnings at the right quarters and attract far-reaching projects to our communities.
“Worthy of mention is the ongoing Brass-Nembe road. Our representatives must ensure the state and federal governments including multinational oil companies operating in the area join hands in completing that all-important project.
Sambo, who is also the chief executive officer of Irad Investment Limited, an oil servicing firm, however advised all winners of the 2023 general elections to lead their people with humility, a high sense of integrity and the fear of God.
“They should only appoint competent, patriotic citizens who will help realize their respective visions upon their inauguration,” the monarch advised.
