Lyon attends Ogboinbiri festival, pleads with indigenes to support APC candidates in general elections

Ogboinbiri—A former All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 Bayelsa governorship election, Chief David Lyon, has pleaded with the people of Ogboinbiri to vote for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.

He said this yesterday while speaking at the 23rd edition of the Ogboinbiri Pulo Uge Festival at Ogboinbiri community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The annual festival which was initiated in 1999 celebrates the culture, tradition, and history of the Ogboinbiri people and Ijaws in general.

Lyon expressed appreciation to the people of Ogboinbiri for their support in 2019 during his governorship bid.

Lyon who is Head of the Directorate of Contact and Mobilization for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Bayelsa State further rallied support for all APC candidates on the ballot in the forthcoming elections

According to him, “2023 is an election year in our country and as a party man, I want to remind you of the re-election of your own son, Hon. Preye Oseke, in the National Assembly and all other candidates of the All Progressives Congress.

“Let me also mention the incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the grace of God, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I urge every son and daughter of this great kingdom to do the same as 2019 for the APC.”

Lyon was accompanied by Hon. Jothan Amos; Chief Omiebi Fuoebi, Barr. Adams Fasingha, Barr. Dallas Ebibi, Hon. Godbless Diriwari, Jephthah Iyekoroghe, Hon. Koripamo Ogili, Hon. Bokuromo Fuoebi, Engr. Dauseighe Bowei, among others to the event.
