Daniel Charles has shown capacity to lead, says youth leader canvassing votes for Bayelsa lawmaker

Brass—A youth leader in Twon Brass, headquarters of Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa state, Comr. Samuel James has appealed to electorates in Brass constituency I to vote for the retention of Dr. Daniel Charles as lawmaker representing the constituency in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly come 2023.

He made the appeal in a statement sent to mangrovepen.ng on Wednesday.

James, who is the immediate vice youth president of Twon Brass Kingdom, said that although politicians are generally driven by greed and self-aggrandizement, Charles has set himself apart by his selfless and passionate service to his people since assuming office.

He, therefore, urged electorates in the constituency to rally around Charles and vote for his reelection.

The state read partly, “I want to sincerely appeal to our esteemed electorates to massively vote for the PDP candidate in the person of Pastor Daniel Charles (PhD) for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly come 2023 due to his sterling performance in the last three years.

“Indeed, politics is globally acknowledged as a game of deception, pretence, backbiting, dirty intrigues, gimmicks, backstabbing, self-seeking, false promises, shenanigans, and compromise wrapped with unpredictable nature.

“Majority of its active players are solemnly driven by greed, blindfolded power seeking, with the sole aim of gaining access to people’s collective wealth in order to enrich themselves and their cronies at the detriment of the voting populace who entrusted their collective destiny to them.

“Nonetheless, the candidate of the PDP has shown capacity, selfless service, passion, and sacrifices towards developing and improving the welfare of his people across party lines.

“As a community development specialist, I, therefore, urge the various communities (Twon Brass, Egweama, Liama, and Beletieama) across the Constituency to rally around and unflinchingly support Dr. Daniel Charles as their collective asset to continue to attract the dividends of true, purposeful representation and democracy.”
