Brass—President of the Brass Federated Youth Council, Comr. Ayebatonbara Telimoye Stephen-Gow has condemned the death of a teenager whose body was found in the wardrobe of a hotel in Twon Brass, headquarters of Brass Local Government Area in Bayelsa state.
Stephen-Gow who also commiserated with the family of the dead teen in a statement on Tuesday said the news of young people being murdered is becoming too frequent and needs to stop.
He, therefore, called on the police to fish out the possible culprit responsible for the girl’s death.
“We as a council condemn the gruesome killing of one of our daughters in our region (Twon-brass) by an unknown man at the moment in a hotel in twon-brass.
“This daily wickedness, sad news of young people murdered in cold blood is becoming something we need to be worried about and must be stopped.
“We condemn it wholeheartedly and we call on the Nigerian Police Force to swing into action in fishing out the perpetrator of this very wicked act.
“At this time we send our condolences to the family of the deceased by name Nengi Enenimiete whose lifeless body was found in the wardrobe of a hotel in Twon-brass,” he said.
The youth leader further urged persons in the community to be mindful of their movement, especially during the festive period, and also pleaded for calm while the police begin their investigation into the incident.
