Delta guber: UK-based environmentalist throws weight behind Omo-Agege

Lagos—The ambition of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to win the 2023 Delta State governorship seat received a major boost recently, as a UK-based environmentalist and South-South leader, Mr. Igho Derek Emuobome, announced his support for the APC Candidate.

Emuobome made the announcement in a press statement on Sunday in Lagos after what he described as “consultations with like-minded Delta stakeholders.”

He declared that Omo-Agege is the candidate with the best political and administrative experience amongst all the governorship candidates in Delta State at this time.

He said, “It is worthy of commendation that Omo-Agege is willing to sacrifice his thriving political career at the national level to help salvage Delta State from stagnation and underdevelopment.”

Emuobome who is a former President of the South-South Peoples Assembly (SSPA) in the UK and Ireland, said he has known Omo-Agege “for many years as a man of solid character and integrity with a knack for dedicating himself fully to whatever cause he takes on at any time.”

Emuobome expressed confidence that the Delta-born politician would bring the same qualities to bear on the governance of the State if given the opportunity.

He further urged the elites of Delta State to do their best in educating and encouraging voters in the State to turn out massively to elect the APC Candidate in the forthcoming governorship election.
