PAP: Ijaw leaders laud appointment of Gen. Ndiomu as interim boss

Yenagoa—The leadership of the Ijaw National Congress(INC) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Major General Barry Tariye Ndiomu (rtd) as the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

According to TrackNews, the Congress made the commendation in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the INC Central Zone, Dr Doodei Week, and its Publicity Secretary, Comr. Barry Ikosomi on Saturday.

The congress expressed confidence and conviction in the capacity of Ndiomu who the body described as an illustrious son of the Ijaw nation to take the Amnesty Programme to a higher level.

The Congress added that the appointment of Gen. Ndiomu is well deserved owing to his wealth of experience, impeccable character, and track record of success in public office management.

The statement urged the new Interim Administrator to carry along everyone, and actively engage stakeholders across the Niger Delta region in the affairs of his new office.
