Ogbia—The lawmaker representing Ogbia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Azibapu Fred Obua has accepted the call by his constituents to re-contest the federal constituency seat in 2023.
Obua who is the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values accepted the call while speaking at the expanded caucus and stakeholders meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, held on Monday.
The lawmaker gave an account of his stewardship at the meeting and appreciated all party leaders, stakeholders and constituents for their cooperation.
He used the meeting to also dedicate himself to further serving the Ogbia People selflessly, stating that he is more experienced and positioned than ever before to attract and deliver more democratic dividends to the constituency.
He also pleaded with the delegates and electorates for their votes, adding that a re-elected member of the House of Representatives stands a better chance to meet the needs of the constituency.
Obua who is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors assured that he will continue to present more people-oriented bills, motions and provide life-changing empowerment materials to constituents.
He equally thanked the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri for providing effective leadership to the PDP and the State at large.
