Football juggler to break another record, wants support from Bayelsa govt

Yenagoa—Bayelsa-born popular football juggler, Tonye Solomon popularly called Deeboi is set to break another national record.

Recall that Deeboi had in 2015, did the unimaginable when he trekked a distance of 60km with a football on his head, thereby breaking a national record.

Again, on December 1, 2018, Deeboi broke another record by swimming across a 600m wide river while having a ball on his head.

He equally broke another record on December 19, 2020, by riding a bicycle from Mbiama to Yenagoa with a ball on his head covering a distance of 50km.

In a chat with our reporter, Deeboi revealed that he is set to break another national record by walking on a rope with a football on his head.

Deeboi who noted that he plans to embark on his quest in the first week of June 2022, complained of lack of support.

He, therefore, called on the Bayelsa State government to support him financially.

“To be sincere, things are very bad. And I will appreciate it if the Bayelsa State government supports me. For now, it is just individuals that are supporting me.

“Apart from Gentle Emelah, the Commissioner for Education, nobody. I’m presently thinking of relocating from Bayelsa to another state because I have so many records to break, but the state government is doing nothing,” he complained.

The football juggler advised youths with a talent to believe in God and keep on pushing to reach their dreams.
