Amnesty beneficiaries jubilate as December stipends come early

Port Harcourt—Beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) have started receiving their December monthly stipends.

Naijalive Tv reports that beneficiaries began receiving their stipends on Wednesday, 15 December 2021.

The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Col. Milland Dikio (retd.), had assured ex-agitators in the region that they would receive the payment of their N65,000 monthly stipend by the 25th of every month.

Jubilant ex-agitators took to their Social media handles to thank Dikio for keeping to his words and assured him of their support.

Dikio who made the promise of early payment of stipends to ex-agitators in November stated that too much bureaucracy in the system often results in delay in the payment of their monthly stipend.

In a chat with our reporter, Bobo Tonye, Chairman of third phase Niger Delta ex-agitators, commended Dikio for keeping to his word.

Tonye, who is also a member of the programmes’ Strategic Communications Committee, urged him not to be distracted by naysayers and continue changing the narrative in the PAP.

“Dikio has done nobly well for keeping up to his word. He has proven that indeed we can count on him. He has exemplified the role of a father looking after the wellbeing of his children.

“I urge him not to be distracted by naysayers who do not mean well for the success of the PAP. He should continue changing the narrative,” he said.
