Keffes foundation chairman reveals why he was invited by police

Abuja—The chairman of the Keffes Rural Development Foundation (KRDF), Mr. Seleipre Matthew has denied being arrested by the police, stating that he was only invited.

Seleipre who said this in a statement on Thursday noted that the rumours of his arrest were the handiwork of people who are out to tarnish his image.

He explained that he was invited to the police in Abuja as a result of a series of petitions written against him by one Timiebi Amadein and others which he honoured.

“Firstly, the said arrest is all pure lies and an artfully contrived gimmick fabricated by men of cruel pedigree to besmirch the reputation of my person.

“It is of fact that I was invited by Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (FORCE CID) in Abuja which I honoured and this is among a series of petitions written by Timiebi Amadein and his deluded co-travelers.

“So the arrest is unfounded and had no bases in me honoring an invitation which cheap blackmail and nonsense’ that does not worth the time and attention of the reading public but only merits the waste bin from whence it possibly emanated,” the statement reads in part.

Seleipre maintained that he remains the chairman of the Keffes foundation with support from the foundation’s executive and Board of Trustees (BoT).
