Abuja—The minister of state for petroleum resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, has congratulated the newly-elected executives of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He made this known in a statement obtained by mangrovepen.ng and signed by his special assistant on media and public affairs, Julius Bokoru.
Sylva who is the leader of APC in Bayelsa, lauded the way and manner the congress was conducted.
He stated that he was impressed by the peaceful and orderly manner party members comported themselves.
The minister commended members of the outgoing state executive led by Amos Jothan.
He charged members of the new executive led by Dr. Dennis Otiotio to maintain the strong momentum APC in Bayelsa has enjoyed over the years.
According to him, the party must continue in its victorious path and prioritize stewardship to Bayelsans and Nigerians in general.
“We must continue this chain of election victories and we must continue to assert ourselves as the dominant party that we are, but most importantly it is our sacred duty to serve Bayelsans and Nigerians well,” he stated.
The former governor of Bayelsa state appreciated members of the party who participated in the voting process and as well the runners-up of the elections for their sportsmanship and love for the party.
He equally commended chieftains of the party, who made the congress possible and seamless.
