Yenagoa—Bayelsa state commissioner for information, orientation and strategy, Ayibaina Duba has assured that projects started by Governor Douye Diri-led administration will be completed.
Duba made the statement during the income and expenditure briefing for May and June 2021 at the Treasury Building, Yenagoa, on Wednesday, Punch newspaper reports.
He said the commonwealth of Bayelsans is in safe hands and added that the government will not take their mandate for granted.
According to the commissioner, the Diri-led administration is only focused on delivering good governance to the people.
Duba said, “As a government, we are happy to continue doing what we are doing by being transparent enough so that Bayelsans will know that their commonwealth is in safe hands.
“We are not misusing the trust and as a government, we are out to make sure that whatever that is desirable and good for the people of Bayelsa state, gets to them.
According to the governor’s technical adviser on treasury, accounts and revenue, Timipre Seipulou, Bayelsa received a total of N8.7bn for May while that of June stood at N11.8bn.
