Ijaw women honour former IYC scribe, congratulates him on his new appointment

Abuja—Ijaw women under the aegis of the Ijaw Women Connect Thursday visited renowned Niger Delta youth leader, Comr. Alfred Kemepado at his office in Abuja; congratulating him over his recent appointment.

Mangrovepen.ng recalls that the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd)  appointed Kemepado as Head of Reconciliation (HOR) in the amnesty programme.

Until his recent appointment, Kemepado was the special assistant on special duties to the interim administrator of PAP.

The Ijaw Women Connect described the elevation as well-deserved, insisting that Alfred is known for performing his duties creditably well with integrity.

President of the group, Mrs. Rosemary Aken John Oduene, while speaking during the visit, expressed delight and thanked God for making it possible for Alfred to occupy such an exalted office.

She expressed confidence in Kemepado’s ability to live up to the high expectations of his new position.

The group also presented an award of excellence to Kemepado for his dutiful service not just to the Ijaw nation but to the entire Niger Delta and beyond.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the group equally offered special prayers to Kemepado for him to do more in his service to humanity.

Kemepado, in his reaction, appreciated the group for the visit, describing it as a sign of love and support from all Ijaw women.

The former general secretary of the foremost Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide also commended the women for deeming it fit to honour him with an award of excellent performance.

While noting that the gesture will spur him to do more for his motherland, Kemepado promised to partner with the women for a better Ijaw nation.
