PHOTOS: Ijaw Women of America mounts solar-powered borehole in Ijaw community in Rivers State

Okrika—The ongoing 260-ft solar-powered borehole project being sponsored by the Ijaw Women of America (IWA) at Iwokiri Community in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State has commenced drilling of clean water for residents of the community.

This was disclosed by Comr. Gabriel Allen, representative of the IWA in Nigeria, via a Facebook post on Friday.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the project is one among the many water projects the organisation has provided in Ijaw rural communities across Nigeria, over the years.

“Thank you Ijaw Women of America for remembering our rural Communities with your love and kindness in service to humanity.

“Thank you for thinking the good of our people first,” Comrade Gabriel stated.
