Young Bayelsa social reformer, Matthew Indutimi, launches campaign to mentor boy child

‎The Matthew Indutimi Initiative on Thursday launched the “Stitch Up a Boy-Child” campaign in Community Primary School Okutukutu in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the campaign focuses on the boy child as a vehicle for change as society is either positively or negatively influenced by the male.

‎During the launch, the students were taught social values in a bid to prevent moral decadence in the society.

The brain behind the initiative, Matthew Indutimi explained that ‎the sensitization campaign focused on the boy child because “nature favours the boy child with leadership roles in society regardless of his environment or the mindset he grows up with.”

He disclosed that his nonprofit organization intends to inculcate the boy child with societal values while he is still teachable.

“Our goal is to help the boy child see the need for kindness, fairness, respect, gratitude, equity, justice, etc. and most importantly disregard drug abuse and crime related activities.

“It is a step towards fulfilling purpose, hence, my gratitude to God for the vision and the enablement to pull this off,” he said.

Indutimi expressed appreciation to Pastor Stanley Zizi, whom he described as his shepherd.

He also thanked his brother, Mr. Uche Omah Ikiomoworio, Famz Robert, Chris Aye, Ayebaifiemi Iyabi who he said has stood by him on the vision.

“I’m honoured to have you all in my life. Thank you,” he stated.
