Yenagoa—Brass Indigenes based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, have expressed happiness over the inauguration of Comr. Thankgod Singer as President of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the National Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE.
The indigenes who also congratulated Singer on his inauguration added that his election late last year was well-deserved and a reward for his exploits so far in the union.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. James Deibo and Hon. Charles Sambo Lucky in Yenagoa shortly after the inauguration.
According to them, Singer has been a shining light since his childhood, hence they are not surprised with his exploits especially as deputy president of the Bayelsa NULGE before being elected president.
They expressed the belief that Singer would steer the ship of the union in the right direction as well as continue to protect the interest of all local government employees in the state.
The Brass natives equally thanked him for being a good ambassador of Brass LGA and expressed confidence that he would not fail the mandate given to him.
“We send our warmest felicitations to Comr. Thankgod Singer following his inauguration as the President of the Bayelsa State Chapter of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE).
“His election was well deserved and serves as a reward for his sterling performance and exploits during his time as deputy president.
“We believe he is the right man for the job and we are confident that Singer in his new capacity will steer the Bayelsa State NULGE in the right direction,” the statement partly read.
They further prayed for wisdom, good health and soundness of mind for Singer in his new role.
