Bayelsa CJ, Customary Court of Appeal President appoints Registrars, others

Yenagoa—The Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Hon. Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, has approved the appointment of Ayibatari Mirin Johnson, Esq. as the Acting Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice, and Abise Theophilus, Esq as Acting Secretary, Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

The Chief Judge made this known in a statement issued by Julius Lambert Nyananyo, Head Media & Information.

Until her appointment Ms Johnson was the Secretary, Judicial Service Commission and Chief Magistrate Grade 1 of Bayelsa State Judiciary, while Theophilus was the Deputy Chief Registrar 1, High Court of Justice.

Also, the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Hon Justice Daniel Ayah, has approved the appointment of Ibuama Nathan Tengi, Esq as the Acting Chief Registrar and Elis Opokuma, Esq as Deputy Chief Registrar of the Customary Court of Appeal

“Until his appointment, Ibuama Nathan Tengi Esq. was the Deputy Chief Registrar of The Customary Court of Appeal.

“The appointment takes effect from the of 20th December 2023,” the statement reads.
