I’ll work to create fond memories, unity, says Bayelsa council boss Karika

Brass—The Chairman of Brass Local Government Council, Hon. Alabo Hanson Karika has said he will work assiduously to create fond memories, maintain peace, and unite the people of the area.

According to a statement by his spokesman, Alfred Obuala, Karika gave the assurance while addressing participants at the 6th edition of the Brass Prosperity Walk held in the council headquarters, Twon Brass.

“Like I always say, I was not appointed as chairman to come and tear our people apart, but to create fondness and engender unity and peace among the people of Brass.

Karika pointed out that development will thrive if and when the people of Brass live harmoniously with a unity of purpose, assuring that “my administration will do everything possible to ensure this is achieved.”

He stressed that the prosperity walk is not necessarily organized for members of a particular political party, hinting that all citizens of Brass LGA, especially sports lovers who are eager to stay fit, are free to participate in the weekly exercise.

“I want to thank everyone who sees it as an obligation to make sure the prosperity walk continues even during my absence, as I was engaged with other commitments to ensure things are in place for the smooth running of the local government.

“I want to assure you that the Prosperity Walk, especially in the aspect of dishing out gifts, will always get better.

“More people will go home with something at the end of the exercise,” the council chairman assured.

The Brass council boss prayed for God’s divine protection upon all participants as they go about with their daily businesses.
