Brass—The lawmaker representing Brass Constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Dr. Daniel Charles has commenced work to extend the Imbikiri road in Twon Brass by 150 meters.
The lawmaker hinted that he commenced the project to avert impending hazards and tackle unsafe conditions around the Twon Brass landing jetty.
Mangrovepen.ng gathered that he has also mobilized workers to fix all dilapidated rails at the jetty.
In a statement by his media aide, Munafa Richard Clever, he averred that the importance of the Imbikiri road cannot be overemphasized, saying its extension will give residents of the area better access to their homes and business places.

“The road extension will benefit students and teachers of the Government Secondary School that has been in existence since 1974, as well as members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) whose lodge is equally also located in the vicinity.
“Fixing the rails at the jetty will not only eradicate the unsafe conditions around the area but will also give the jetty a facelift befitting of a council headquarter,” the statement reads.
He quoted the lead engineer as saying the two projects, which are both located in Brass Ward II, will be completed in the shortest possible time, as all materials have already been made available by the lawmaker.
It will be recalled that the lawmaker recently facilitated the rehabilitation of the bridge connecting Shidi-Ama and Kemmer-Ama.
