Abuja—The National Association of Northern Nigerian Students (NANNS) on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the President and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) Prof. Mohammed Ajiya.
According to a statement by Akin Ogunlade, Head, Public Affairs Unit of the Institute, the meeting was held at DBI’s headquarters in Utako, Abuja.
He hinted that the students presented an award of excellence to Ajiya, describing him as an icon of national development for his immense contribution towards societal development, educational upliftment, youth engagement, and selfless service to humanity.
Speaking on behalf of the association, the national secretary of NANNS, Comrade Abubakar Gumel explained that the association comprises students from the 19 northern states of Nigeria.
He said that the objective of NANNS was to address issues concerning Nigerian youths and to help provide vital and reliable information on topics such as insecurity, education, health care, and ethics to improve the lives and minds of the youths.
In his remarks, Ajiya appreciated the students for their recognition and wished them well in their studies.
He also encouraged them to be more productive as they represent the future of Nigeria.
