Nigerian DJ advises young people to prioritize marriage

Yenagoa—A Nigerian Disk Jockey (DJ), Isaac Victor, has advised young people not to delay getting married if they find the right partner.

He gave the advice in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

He stated that although young people tend to be more concerned about financial independence, career path and education, they should also consider finding the right partner because failing to do so tends to be costly in the future.

He opined that delaying to find the right partner when young has left many people lonely in their middle age with no life partners.

Victor, popularly known as DJ Spanish, advised youths to prioritize marriage as much as they do to education because it is equally important.

“If you are between age 22 and 30; usually, at this life stage, a lot of us are busy trying to figure out life. Either in school, establishing your business, or building a career.

“While at it, we tend to think like we don’t need anyone in life. That’s relationships/friendships.

“I mean, we are broke, hence dating feels like you are wasting your time. BECAUSE at that point in life your main focus is being financially independent.

“However, don’t start thinking or don’t let anyone make you think that you don’t need a life partner,” he said.

While advising young people to find someone who accepts them for who they are during their hustling stage in life, Victor also advised ladies to work on themselves and relationships before marriage.

According to him, “If in your hustling stage you find someone who accepts you for who you are, especially ladies, settle for that relationship and start working on improving yourself.

“Trust me, once you start achieving your goals, by then you will be in your 30s, loneliness kicks in. And it becomes difficult to find love. If it’s for most ladies, men now just start using them for money and sex.

“Next thing, frustration kicks in. That’s why we have so many well-to-do women online preaching about how they don’t need men, while lowkey sleeping with Ben 10s who just eat their money.

“Don’t lie to yourself, everyone needs an emotional attachment with someone, it’s normal human nature. Once you hit your 30s, the fun gets old.”
