Police arrest company workers over display of pornographic content on billboard

Port Harcourt—The Nigerian Police on Saturday arrested two staff of a company whose electronic billboard displayed pornographic content at Garrison junction in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to a report by Nigeria Info, the billboard displayed the content for sixty seconds before it was removed.

Tony Okeah, acting Chairman of the Rivers State Signage Agency, stated that the culprits will be prosecuted after a Police investigation.

He revealed that the billboard has now been shut down as the content displayed caused public nuisance.

Okeah also said the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), should be held responsible for allowing the billboard company to display such content.
