I have nothing against Tinubu—Rufai, Arise TV anchor replies APC members calling for his sack

Lagos—Arise TV anchor, Rufai Oseni, has said that although he has a feeling that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council hates him, he has nothing in his heart but love for them.

Politics Nigeria reports that Oseni’s comments were in reaction to recent calls made by some members of the APC presidential campaign council for Arise Television to fire the broadcaster and another colleague because of their perceived bias.

“I have nothing against my egbon, Bayo Onanuga and Dele Alake. I love them as professionals in their own field,” Oseni said on Arise News.

“They abuse me all the time that I’m not a journalist. I have spent quite some time in this business. I might not look it, but I have done about 17 years.

“I have got nothing against Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I love all the candidates equally.

“I think the stress here is objectivity. I would be objective in my coverage of every presidential candidate.

“What you cannot fault me for is that I have been objective with all the presidential candidates.

“One of the toughest interviews we’ve had here has been with Peter Obi. And trust me, the kind of heat we give Mr Peter Obi when he came here, I’m not sure we’ve been able to interview other presidential candidates on this platform like that.

“What I want them to know is that I love them regardless of the hatred being meted out to me.”
