Three participants of Mangrovepen media training commend Rivers politician, Sokari for sponsorship

Port Harcourt—Three participants of the 12-week online media training by mangrovepen.ng have poured encomiums on a popular Niger Delta youth leader, Sokari Goodboy Sokari for sponsoring them in the training.

Sokari who is contesting the Ahoada West House of Assembly seat in Rivers State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) paid for the tuition fees of the four participants.

One of the beneficiaries, Douglas Onisoya Amisu, in a Facebook post titled “I VALUE THE HELP YOU HAVE GIVEN ME” appreciated Sokari for his support all through the training.

He prayed for God’s blessings and mercy on his life as well as God’s protection for him.

“It is important to thank my principal, Hon. Sokari Goodboy Sokari for his support throughout my media training.

“May the almighty God in his infinite mercy, bless you, prosper you, and make you become who you want to be. May you never lack, and in all, may God protect you from the hand of betrayal, and may you excel beyond human expectation,” he wrote.

Similarly, Maclean Odeamuza appreciated Sokari for finding him worthy to be among the four sponsored beneficiaries of the training.

Odeamuza described Sokari as a patriot and magnanimous leader who has been committed to promoting peace, stability, and human capital development in Ahoada west.

He said that Sokari is a worthy son of Ahoada west whose acts of kindness should be emulated by other politicians in the land, adding that history will be kind to him.

“I want to use this medium to thank Hon. Sokari and express my delight for finding me worthy by giving me the opportunity to be among the four persons who benefited from the 12-week journalism/media training sponsored by Sokari.

“He’s a worthy son of Ahoada West who is firmly committed to promoting peace, stability, and human capital development in the constituency.

“History will always remember Sokari for this singular act recalling his good deeds, he has demonstrated his desire and love for his constituent and act of magnanimity, he is a true patriot in Ahoada West.”

Another beneficiary, Confidence Amagbo, posted on his Facebook page and thanked Sokari for “allowing me to expand my skills, learn, and get exposure through the programme.

“I know the skills I’ve learned as a result will help catapult my success, and for that, I am truly grateful.”

“I am optimistic that the training you sponsored me and the 3 other youths of Ahoada West: Douglas Onisoya, Alex Alabrima Jnr, and Odeam Maclean has equipped us to work as online media practitioners in line with the ethics of the profession.”

While he noted that the media training has broadened his knowledge of a variety of media skills, Amagbo said Sokari by the singular gesture has proven that he is committed to human capital development.

“The 12-week training was facilitated by the Publisher of Mangrovepen.ng, Sam Dogitimi, and his crew and it has broadened my knowledge about news writing, press releases, and feature articles, basic media ethics, and laws, political campaign strategies, basic PR, blogging, media entrepreneurship, etc.

“The skills gotten from the training have opened my eyes to the business opportunities in the media industry and I hope to harness them properly.

“By this gesture, it is crystal clear that you believe in human capital development which will in turn build capacities for beneficiaries to be self-reliant,” he stated.
