Port Harcourt—The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has lambasted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state for not electing anyone from the Ogoni extraction as their standard-bearer in the just concluded primaries, Rhythm 93.7 reports.
MOSOP described the recent primaries conducted by the PDP and the APC as a huge sham and an assault on Ogoni.

The MOSOP president, Prince Birra, who addressed some Ogonis who protested over the alleged exclusion of their kinsmen and women from the governorship race, vowed that the Ogoni would take their pound of flesh.
Birra advised Ogonis of all political affiliations to realize that the current political happenings in Rivers state were created to undermine them.
The MOSOP president also alleged that some Ogoni leaders sold the governorship interest of Ogoni for a paltry sum of eighteen million naira.
