Port Harcourt—A stampede at the popular Polo Club in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has left scores of people and several others injured.
Niger Delta Insider reports that the stamped happened at around 6:30 am on Saturday, when a crowd of people forced their way into the Polo Club to participate in an annual ‘shop for free’ programme hosted by a church called Kings Assembly.
Thirty-one people have said to have died according to Allwell Ene, a popular journalist in Port Harcourt.
