…there is no cause for alarm, says George Turnah
Port Harcourt—Justice A. T. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday, May 20, 2022 convicted and sentenced George Turnah, the Executive Assistant to Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State on Public Affairs and Social Orientation and a former Special Assistant to Mr. Dan Abia, for obtaining money by false pretence, money laundering and abuse of office, was jailed for failure to make full disclosure of his assets in his disclosure to the EFCC.
He was arraigned, together with his wife, Jennifer Tinipre Turnah, on four-count amended charges.

But in a chat with our reporter Turnah averred that the outcome of the case is not the way it is being presented in the media, adding that “there is no cause for alarm.”
He promised to address the media once he has spoken with his lawyers.
