Oral sex is unhygienic, poses a risk of disease infection, says Lagos lawyer

Lagos—A Lagos-based lawyer and social media influencer, Olakunle Allison, has described oral sex as an unhealthy and unwholesome sexual practice that decreases the tolerance for vaginal sex.

Allison in an article titled “the age of new sexual revolution is quietly destroying us (Rated 18+)” said oral sex is a relatively new practice that became prominent at the turn of the century and was alien in the times of old.

According to him, the practice is unhygienic and leads to the emotional, mental and physical instability of those who indulge in it.

He averred that oral sex causes cancer of the throat and tumors and also leads to the contraction of gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, HPV, and HIV amongst other sexually transmitted diseases and infections.

The lawyer however noted that the only advantage to oral sex is the prevention of pregnancy which he said is not worth it.

He said: “There used to be a time in this same world when the mouth was meant only for the mouth in the bedroom. We call it kissing.

“There used to be a time when the penis was meant only for the vagina and vice versa. We call it sex or sexual intercourse.

“Penis to vagina penetration was enough for sexual pleasure and satisfaction.

“During that bygone era, people moaned, grunted, screamed, and uttered sweet nonsense during sex. They had fun. They populated the world. Now they are gone and we suddenly feel they were not “woke” enough. We think their sex sucked. That they were boring. These were our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.

“But then something happened as soon as we entered the New Millennium (the 2000s). There came a slow, steady, and radical paradigm shift in sexual awareness. The tongue began to play a major role down below.

“See folks, as someone who watched a lot of porn movies popularly called blue films in my teenage years, I can confidently and categorically tell you now that oral sex is a relatively new phenomenon. Yes, it is.

“Virtually all (99%) of the blue films I watched in the 90s did not have mouth-to-vagina or mouth-to-penis scenes. Even though I saw l.e.s.bian sex (women to women rubbing their vaginas on each other for pleasure) and we had men having g.a.y sex, I didn’t see the use of the mouth except for kissing, or it was just not common. I doubt you can watch porn movies now without 80% of them being about oral sex.

“But nothing about oral sex is healthy and wholesome. Nothing. Rather, it is a public health crisis in the making. Oral sex is inimical to the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of both sexes.

“First and foremost, emotionally and mentally oral sex decreases tolerance for actual sex. It alters your threshold for sexual pleasure and upsets the balance created by nature. In other words, people especially women who engage in lots of oral stimulation find it difficult to enjoy sex any other way. They become numb to actual sex except the tongue is involved. This is not good for the reasons I will now delve into.

“It is unhygienic. No matter how clean or neat you think you are, there are certain “beneficial” viruses and bacteria around the vagina that protect it but are not meant to be in your mouth. The mouth serves many Important everyday functions and as such shouldn’t be compromised for momentary pleasuring.

“Eating, speaking, pecking, and kissing (babies) are some of these important functions. Imagine kissing someone not knowing where their mouths have been. Someone says, “but people brush every day”. Not where some bacteria are involved.

“It causes oral tumors or cancer of the throat, although not directly. But it can lead to HPV which causes pre-cancerous changes in the cells that may lead to throat cancer. It is estimated that 35% of cancer patients have HPV.

“And of course it causes STDs. Oral sex has been determined by researchers to lead to gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, HPV, HIV amongst others

“The only identifiable advantage of oral sex is that it prevents unwanted pregnancy. But at what other costs?

“I am not delusional. I know this won’t change many minds because I know that this habit has gone viral. If you are not giving “head” these days, you are not ready for something serious.

“My hope however is that one person out there would read this and understand that there is nothing normal or okay about oral sex. It is a perversion that we have normalized because the human nature is rotten and corrupt through and through.”
